You are probably thinking, “She’s bragging because she used
those new-fangled extreme couponing tricks.”
Well, you would be wrong, because I didn’t. In fact, I
didn’t clip a single coupon when it came to making my new purchases. Really, I
didn’t lift a finger – unless you count typing.
Let me tell you what I did
A few weeks ago, my dishwasher went kaput. While my home
warranty company fixed it for $60, I decided it was time to start upgrading
some items in my house, and opted to replace it. So, to start my savings
adventure, I ordered my dishwasher.
I logged on to E-bates and shopped at Home Everything. I
paid NO SALES TAX, AND NO SHIPPING. I bought the black Frigidaire Gallery
series in black with a stainless steel interior. My price was $100 less than
what I would have paid at Home Depot, Lowe's or Sears and got 5 percent cash
back on my purchase of $429.99. I also paid for my dishwasher with my debit
rewards card, earning an additional one percent cash back on my total.
My savings?
$100 in comparison-shopping
$40 in shipping
$37.62 in tax
$21.50 in cash back rewards from E-bates
$4.29 cash back debit card
$50 Home Everything exclusive
rebate
TOTAL SAVINGS: $253.41
Here’s the kicker. Had I not known about E-bates, I never
would have become familiar with Home Everything, which was where I earned the
bulk of my savings.
That’s just yet another reason that E-bates is my hands down
favorite for shopping. I can comparison shop, find the best prices on
everything from socks to refrigerators and become aware of merchants I never
would have otherwise found, all designed around getting me the best possible
deal on everything I buy.
Next week, I am in the market for some new dishes, glasses,
flatware, pots and pans and a knife set. I’ll keep you posted on my comparison
shopping and savings tips.

I am playing around with some sites that pay you to click on
