Is Project Payday a Scam?

When I was invited to join Project Payday, I admit, I was skeptical. After all, I have seen all the ads, read all of the hype and got sucked in to an MLM or two in my days --and I am not a fan of MLM's by the way. Yet, I figured that since this website was free to sign up for, I would give it the good old "college try".

Cash Crate: In Depth Review

One thing that I promised you, my readers, was some in depth reviews of moneymaking websites, and I am ready to deliver. In fact, I’m EXCITED!

A common mistake I see with people trying to build up extra streams of income is that they get started…and then they get lost. They aren’t quite sure what to do, how to do it, or why they need to do it – and in this economy, that’s a costly mistake. So, I’m going to break down some simple “pennies from heaven” sites, in addition to some other real and legitimate earning opportunities in the upcoming weeks that should help you bring in at least $100 a month from each one, all in about an hour per day. Ready?

I’m not just going to write a blog telling you how much I love Cash Crate or how much money I earn using it –anyone can do that.  I’m going to give you a realistic idea of what you can make, every day, in about an hour of your time, and I’m going to do it step-by-step.

Step 1: Sign up for a Cash Crate account – it’s 100% free, and you NEVER have to invest a dime. Never ever. Honest.

Step 2: Offers
The next step is completing offers. You are paid a bonus when you sign up for free survey websites, sweepstakes websites or websites like them. Personally, I don’t like to be bothered with offers that require a credit card for a temporary free membership, so I sort all of my offers under the “100% FREE” option. Most offers average about $1.00 apiece. I can normally complete about 10 offers in thirty minutes, which earns me $10.00 a day (Remember, I said an hour a day, right?)

$10/day x 5/days a week = $50/week x 4 = $200/month (Already over my $100 promise? How is THAT for efficiency?)
 Time left: 30 minutes

Step 3: Surveys
Each survey I complete earns me about $0.80 and takes 5 to 10 minutes to finish.

$0.80/day x 5/days = $4/week x 4 = $16/month
Total so far: $216/month
Time left: 20 minutes

Step 3: Videos
This is luck of the draw. There are normally one to three videos per day, from which I average $.10 per day for watching in about 5 - 10 minutes.

$0.10 x 5/days = $.50/week x 4 = $2/month
Total: $218/month
Time left: 10 minutes

Step 4: Referrals
Now, pay attention, because this is where the best money can be made the fastest. You get a unique referral link when you sign up for your account. When someone clicks on that link and signs up for a Cash Crate account, you earn $3 when that referral earns his first $10 or $1 for each active referral. I choose the $3 option and I maximize it.

Here is what I do:
I spend about 10 minutes per day promoting Cash Crate. I do this using the following methods:
I put a link on my Twaitter account, which I synched with my account to blast out an ad twice per day for one week to my Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and all of my social bookmarking sites (instructions are on Twaitter and it automates the entire process for you.
I promote the link using my Easy Retweet account, where users retweet my message for me, complete with my referral link.

During that week, I typically net about 20 referrals. Out of that 20, half earn $10 quickly. So my earnings look like this:
10 referrals x $3 = $30

If I rinse and repeat this process each week, that’s an extra $120 a month for about an hour’s worth of “work”.

For the remainder of the month, I simply leave my Cash Crate link in all of the following places:
Articles Base – Write an article about it, and promote it.
At the bottom of my email signature, forum signatures, on my Facebook profile page and on my Linked In page.
Have a permalink on my blogs

From these, I earn a steady flow of 30 – 40 referrals per month, on top of what I earn when “blitzing”, however, it still only works out to about half of those getting to $10 in any given month. Even with that, it adds this to my total.
20 referrals x $3 = $50

If you have been keeping up with the math, I earn $218 a month ($14.40/hour) using the website and an additional $80 (at least) in referrals, for a total of $288 a month – give or take. I don’t know about you, but with the holidays right around the corner, I don’t know of anyone would couldn’t benefit from an extra $288 between now and then.

Of course, the more referrals I have, the more often people hit their $10 mark, and I get a “surprise” bonus. However, I take just a couple of minutes each week to send out a note to all of my referrals using the Cash Crate messaging platform, which keeps them engaged, active and more likely to get to that minimum payout, which only increases my earnings.

As always, if you have questions or comments, please post them in the box below. I hope that you found this a helpful review. Now, get out there are start earning!

I Saved $253 on My New Dishwasher!

You are probably thinking, “She’s bragging because she used those new-fangled extreme couponing tricks.”

Well, you would be wrong, because I didn’t. In fact, I didn’t clip a single coupon when it came to making my new purchases. Really, I didn’t lift a finger – unless you count typing.

Let me tell you what I did
A few weeks ago, my dishwasher went kaput. While my home warranty company fixed it for $60, I decided it was time to start upgrading some items in my house, and opted to replace it. So, to start my savings adventure, I ordered my dishwasher.

I logged on to E-bates and shopped at Home Everything. I paid NO SALES TAX, AND NO SHIPPING. I bought the black Frigidaire Gallery series in black with a stainless steel interior. My price was $100 less than what I would have paid at Home Depot, Lowe's or Sears and got 5 percent cash back on my purchase of $429.99. I also paid for my dishwasher with my debit rewards card, earning an additional one percent cash back on my total.

My savings?
$100 in comparison-shopping
$40 in shipping
$37.62 in tax
$21.50 in cash back rewards from E-bates
$4.29 cash back debit card
$50 Home Everything exclusive rebate

Here’s the kicker. Had I not known about E-bates, I never would have become familiar with Home Everything, which was where I earned the bulk of my savings.

That’s just yet another reason that E-bates is my hands down favorite for shopping. I can comparison shop, find the best prices on everything from socks to refrigerators and become aware of merchants I never would have otherwise found, all designed around getting me the best possible deal on everything I buy.

Next week, I am in the market for some new dishes, glasses, flatware, pots and pans and a knife set. I’ll keep you posted on my comparison shopping and savings tips.
